Hi Melinda
It was absolute GORGEOUS!!!
We stayed at Dhow Palace, which was very special and also central and close to everything in Stone Town.
Then we stayed one night at Hurumzi which was divinely!!!!! Something total different, more expensive and a MUST for a night in Stone Town. Especially the breakfast at the open roof restaurant and the Arabian bath was lovely!!!
Then we stayed 4 nights at Mnarani close to Nungwi and that was really the cherry on top of the cake!Wow, the staff there really couldn't treat us enough and the dinner on the deck with full moon was a memory indeed. Everything was just fantastic and we came home with the most exquisite memories.
Melinda, thank you for all your patience with my phone calls to ask things and for all your arrangements - it went all so smoothly.!!!

Dear Melinda
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for everything you did for our honeymoon bookings, we had such and AMAZING time! Karafuu was FANTASTIC and the service there was brilliant! There was such a variety of food to choose from and there were plenty of drinks to select from! :-) The beach was awesome and it was so great to have the concrete pathway to what they call the 'lagoon'. The entertainment was EXCELLENT and 'Aqua Gym' was a hoot!
All in all everything was fantastic, we had an amazing time, thank you so much for EVERYTHING!

Morning Lucrezia,
Hope you have had a great festive season!
Views as follows:
African Encounters :
- Response to enquiries and correspondence was immediate and informative.
- Packages offered were great! Loved the fact that flights were pre booked and were included in the package.
- I had done a lot of browsing beforehand on travelling to Zanzibar with other companies but believe African encounters offered the best.
- Payment was made easy and delivery of tickets and bags was efficient.
- Once arriving in Zanzibar transfer was ready and waiting with a banner – Our guide gave us cold bottled water and explained procedures, which was fantastic
- Leaving the hotel, the transfer was ready and waiting 1/2hr before hand and was extremely efficient.
- Enjoyed dealing with Lucrezia and will definitely contact her again if I decide on another trip in and around Africa.
Arabian Nights, Zanzibar:
- Excellent service
- Great value for money
- Clean beautiful rooms with aircon and hot water
- Staff extremely friendly and helpful
- Great swimming pool
- Sea view room was stunning, definitely worth the extra cost.
- Location was fantastic and the dates travelled were perfect as it wasn’t very busy and you felt like you were on your own private island at times
- Incredible swimming beach
- Great food at the restaurant and breakfasts included were great and substantial
- Our guide/transfer guy arrived on our first day to explain the tours offered – He was brilliant at explaining everything, giving us a short history of Zanzibar and offering us great deals for the trips
- The organized trips were incredible, great value for money and extremely well organized. Not once did we feel ripped off or that we were in a tourist trap. I must recommend the ‘Blue Safari’ tour which was exceptional!!! Amazing snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, great seafood and exceptional service!!!!!

Dongwe Ocean View

Hi Lucrezia
I could write pages for you but the short version is that from the time we arrived at the airport, every single person was friendly, helpful polite and well informed. Dongwe Ocean View was absolutely perfect for us and the entire staff went the extra mile to make our stay the best it could be.The accomodation was exactly as the brochure promised and the catering staff were very accomodating of our difficult dietary requirements, making sure we had plenty to eat.The outings arranged for us were adjusted as we requested and our guides answered our many and varied questions, adding lots of stories and historical facts which we really enjoyed.
The perfect place to celebrate and recover from the exhaustion on Kilimanjaro!

Seacliff&Michamvi&dream of zanzibar

Hi Faz
Everything was awesome thanks. The ground handler were very friendly and helpful; and all the hotels were great!
Sea Cliff has the best food by a mile but they need to make a plan about the beach (or at least make one nearby easily accessible to their guests). Their rooms are also great and their aircon is super-charged J We had a great time here, swimming and playing lots of bat and ball. They also had live bands on 2 evenings while we were there, which we really enjoyed.
Michamvi has a stunning stretch of beach without any beach boys, which for me was a HUGE plus. Also has a great island vibe- nice and laid back J I think once they get their new generator in, they will be just about perfect- aircon needs a bit of a boost! Also they need to make sure that they have a comfortable area for meals when it rains, as breakfast the morning we left there was chaos with the rain blowing into the dining room and all the guests squashed up against the back wall. Otherwise, I loved it J
DOZ was great- lots of activities on offer and we even joined in with some morning water aerobics the one day. Food was good- and we tried Andiamo for pizza the one night and Chopsticks for an Asian set menu on our last night. Nice to have some variety with different restaurants on offer J Their service is a bit slack at times (could be English isn’t their strong point) but we had to ask 3 times for our minibar to be stocked and just generally, they don’t seem to be very quick in offering their service to you. We had a Junior Suite which was stunning- nice and spacious, plus we were closer to the pool and restaurants J
Safari Blue was awesome!! We saw a whole lot of dolphins and had so much fun snorkeling and swimming in the sea J Such great scenery and the beach where you stop for lunch is stunning! I loved the dessert they served on Safari Blue- a wide selection of fruits- Jack Fruit, baobab seeds, star fruit and so much more! I ate until I burst!! Was the perfect way to spend our last day in Zanzibar J
Thanks for all your help with sorting out the itinerary and flights- really appreciate it Faz!!

Hi Farzanah
It was an amazing holiday as it is was such an untouched Island compared to Mauritius. I have been to many islands but this was a real chill pill something that both my sister and I needed. I loved the resort as it was very family orientated. I loved the whole set up. Not having a TV in the room was excellent as it cut you off the real world. We did visit the Sandies Neptune resort but I felt it was a bit over the top. My sister will send you her views. As the Zanzibar flight from Stonetown to JHB was delayed on 24 Dec 2011 this resulted in us missing the last 1 Time flight from JHB (17H10). We had to book a new flight on Christmas day with another airline at a huge cost as the 1 Time people could only put us on standby on Christmas day. Who wants to be stuck at an airport on Christmas day? Otherwise it was an excellent holiday

Tell us about your experience
