Train/Flight?

Although a lot of people like going on the trains to experience Egypt please note that the trains are the local trains (Same as South African overnight trains here in South Africa and not Blue Train or Rovos Rail standards). We book the 1st class compartments but they are very basic, the cabins are small, with small wash basin, sharing communal toilet, and the food is very basic. If you are a single person you might be sharing your compartment with somebody else as there must be 2 people per compartment. If you rather want to fly instead of go on the train ask us for a quote.

Hi Candice

Tour Guides in Egypt – excellent, clients always knew where to go and felt secure, great guides, knowledgeable

Train – bit rugged, run-down, only 1 toilet, filthy, not pleasant experience

Very happy with oasis hotel, great service

Think that it’s great that all admission tickets included on the cruise.

Only complaint…. Possibly provide clients with a tipping guide… when to tip / who to tip & how much…… or even tip kitty paid upfront and distributed as they go along, so that they don’t have to worry about it.

Day tour taken by the Ground Handlers in Egypt.… Memphis, oldest pyramid, antiquities, they then included visit cotton, carpet, papyrus… of which could be avoided, as they enjoy the display, but then feel obliged that they have to buy something

Dear Farzanah

Thanks for your e-mail!

We had a very good time, and everything was according to the schedule. The staff from your ground handler were excellent and professional, and always on time for all the transfers etc. The cruise was a wonderful experience, with all the tours and the hotel in Cairo was excellent (except for a minor mishap on check-out dates, but this was resolved)

The tipping practice though was something else, we had to get accustomed to that.

Thanks for making this a memorable holiday for us, my husband and I really enjoyed it (including our 8 month old daughter)

Tut ank amon 4* - 29 MAR 2011

Hallo Farzanah

Groete
Helen
