Tsara Komba Lodge, located on the small Lemur Island, is just a short boat ride from the island of Nosy Be. This secluded resort, built to coexist with the environment, is situated on a hillside covered with bougainvillea, papaya and flame trees.
The 6 thatched lodges that comprise Tsara Komba overlook the beach. They are made primarily of sohihy and rosewood, and are quite large and comfortable. They look as though they sprang fully formed from the hillside.
Best of all, the lodges each has a deck that overlooks the bay and Grande Terre. This is a great place to watch both the rising of the sun and the moon.
Guests will have a wonderful time partaking in the activities the lodge has to offer, such as snorkeling, diving, sunbathing, and hiking through the lush, tropical island to view their most famous residents: the lemurs. This island is a photographer's utopia.
After a full day of having fun in the sun, guests will likely want to head to the main house and have dinner at the "Le TK restaurant" which serves a variety of delicious food, including plenty of fresh seafood and great wines.
After the meal, visitors can relax with a cocktail in the "Le TK bar" and take in the view from one of the open decks that overlook the bay and the nearby island called Grande Terre.
The island is quiet and isolated. In fact, there are no cars on Lemur Island. All travelling is done on foot. Those looking for a real getaway, a place to relax far beyond the hustle and bustle of everyday life, will enjoy their stay at the tranquil Tsara Komba Lodge.
The beautifully constructed lodges, designed and built in 2004 by the owners, takes special consideration of the surrounding environment. This site was created with conservation in mind. They are all build from natural, local materials.
The lodges, ranging in size from 75 to 95 square meters, come with verandahs that overlook the ocean, perfect for gazing at the moon and stars. Each lodge has a large bed, complete with mosquito netting and fan, a bathroom, and a writing desk.
Both the restaurant and bar are located in the main house.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a variety of cuisines and flavors that are sure to please even the most finicky guest's taste buds. The restaurant especially takes pride in their fresh seafood and exotic fruits.
After dinner, the bar is a great place to relax with family and friends, reminisce of the day's activities, and plan the next day's events.
