The hotel

This is a large hotel in located in Arusha town. It is mainly used by large tour operators to house their guests overnight before safari or before departure back home. They have recently undergone extensive renovations making the place even bigger. There are two sections to the hotel, and old and new section. The old section is not great, with rooms that are in desperate need of renovation. The newer section is better with larger rooms and newer furnishings. The hotel has 4 huge restaurants and 2 bars. We ate at only 2 of the restaurants and were happy with the food, but the service was a bit lacking at times.

The rooms

The hotel is massive with more than 100 rooms. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, mini bars and television. We do not know what style they have tried to furnish the place, as all rooms seem to have a different style. The beds in the older section are not very comfortable and you do not have much privacy as noise filters in to the room from the hallways. It is one of the cheaper hotels in Arusha and we feel it is definitely value for money due to the exorbitant prices charged by other hotels.
