The hotel

Dik Dik as an amazing hotel located about 25 minutes drive outside Arusha. The hotel is run  and owned by Swiss people so you are assured of only the highest quality. They maintain their own greenhouses in which the fresh fruit and vegetables you are served are grown. We really felt the owners took pride in the hotel and ran it exceptionally well.

Be that as it may, they are quite pricey, but the price is well worth it. As you drive in from the main road you can see that the hotel is a quality place. The gardens are immaculately maintained, the furnishings have been artfully done with a lot of attention to detail and the staff are brilliant. They are situated near to the base of Mount Meru and you have fantastic views of the mountain. They specialise in running Mount Kilimanjaro climbs, so a nice lookout post for Kilimanjaro has been erected for guests. We had the pleasure of staying over at the hotel on numerous occasions and whilst living in Arusha would often go to the restaurant for lunches. The food is fantastic and the fresh juices are out of this world.

The rooms
The hotel has 18 double suites all with mini bars and modern amenities. The rooms are well placed in the fantastic gardens and are very comfortable and clean. All the rooms face out onto the garden and some have hammocks outside for you to relax in.

The facilities
The hotel has a nice pub and good restaurant. The gardens and fantastic and walks can be arranged in the surrounding area. Not much else is offered unless you are intending to climb Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru.
