El Gouna is a self contained resort town on the coast of the Red Sea in the country of Egypt, covering 10 kilometres of beach that spans islands and lagoons.  The entire town was designed to be a resort and it is located a short flight from any starting point in Europe.  The climate is temperate and attractive to visitors all year long, with warm weather and sunshine all year round.  

The Sultan Bey Hotel is unique as it has been designed in the style of a traditional Egyptian village.  It is well known for its intimate atmosphere and high quality service and offers guests a great base of operation for enjoying the resort town it is located in on the coast of Egypt’s Red Sea.  The hotel has an animation staff that provides daytime activities for the guests and there is twice weekly evening entertainment.  There is a freshwater swimming pool that is heated in the winter that includes a children’s pool and playground for the younger guests to have fun at.

El Gouna is filled with plenty of places to shop and be pampered, including spa and massage facilities, gyms, and other health centres.  The beach along the lagoon and the many islands that make up El Gouna are popular destinations, and guests can take a shuttle bus from the resort into the town to enjoy everything it has to offer.  There is also a championship 18 hole golf course for guests to play at..  Some of the amenities in the town cost a separate fee that is paid locally to each individual establishment.

The Sultan Bey El Gouna resort offers guest 115 rooms to choose from.  Each room has air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, satellite television, telephone, minibar, safe, and hairdryers.  There is also wireless Internet available in most of the rooms and guests who need this amenity are advised to request a room with it when they book.

Dining

 
Guests can enjoy the small ala carte pool restaurant as well as the locally supplemented beach restaurant.  There are many other eating establishments in El Gouna as well with cuisine ranging from traditional and local Egyptian dishes to international cuisine.

Activities

  
The staff at Sultan Bey has arranged for guests to use the services of the Dive Tribe in the town for diving and snorkelling services.  The Red Sea offers divers and snorkellers the opportunity to swim in some of the most beautiful waters in the world.  The sea life is fantastic and guests have the opportunity to explore the coral reefs and even swim with dolphins.  Divers who enjoy more adventurous exploration will enjoy the wreck diving opportunities in the area.

Non divers can enjoy the resorts amenities such as the swimming pool at the resort or they can partake in golfing, desert safaris, shopping, and spas in the El Gouna resort town.
