Severin Sea Lodge
On weekdays during 26th April until 27th July 2011 there might be acoustic

Located in Mombasa, Africa, the Severin Sea Lodge is located on the white sands of Bamburi Beach overlooking the Indian Ocean. This unique resort offers guests a friendly atmosphere that includes tropical gardens, ocean breezes and African bush all in one area. Guests stay in ‘rondavels’ that are built in the African style including Makuti roofs. There is plenty for guests to enjoy, including two swimming pools and international restaurants. The harbor town of Mombasa is 12 kilometers from the resort and the airport is about a half hour away. Mombasa is the second largest town in Kenya and it is the home of the country’s most important harbor. There are numerous historical sites to visit here, such as Fort Jesus which was erected in the area in 1593. The town offers guests shopping and more and is a great place to visit for a feel of authentic African life. Guests who are looking for an exotic wedding that will be memorable will be interested in the numerous wedding packaged the resort offers. Guests can get married on the beach at Severin Sea Lodge or enjoy their wedding on an authentic Swahili Dhow where the ceremony starts at sunset. Additionally they can choose a Nguuni Sanctuary wedding where wild bush animals can ‘crash’ the ceremony. There are also numerous meeting and conference halls for business conventions that are equipped with the latest multimedia products.
There are 200 rooms at the Severin Sea Lodge and they come in two classes: Karibu or Comfort class. The Karibu rooms are equipped with the following items: air conditioning; telephone; bath or shower; twin or king beds; mosquito nets; hair dryer; rooms safe; lounge; balcony or terrace; and mini bar. The Comfort class rooms are equipped with: ceiling fans; air conditioning; mosquito nets; two hand basins; private safe; hairdryer; mini bar; direct dial telephone; piped music; king or twin size beds; coffee and tea making service; lounge; balcony or terrace; and colored television sets. The Admiral Suite is equipped with a living room, kitchenette, bar, lounge, satellite color television, bathtub, changing rooms, balcony, and sea view.
Guests at the Severin Sea Lodge can enjoy a wide variety of dining options. The Kisima is the main restaurant at the resort and it is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner including set menus and themed buffets. The Flame Tree Bistro is located outside beneath a big flame tree and features Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner. It also serves a brunch menu. The Kisima Pool Grill is open seasonally and guests can enjoy lunch and snacks around the pool. The Imani Dhow Restaurant is a sailing boat that offers guests a unique dining experience. Fresh seafood is served for dinner and includes mousse desserts made from passion fruit. The Safari Bar is open from 10am until midnight and offers guests beverages and drinks from all over the world at their unique 360 degree bar counter. The Sing Bar is also open from 10am to midnight and offers cocktails that can also be served in the garden or on the pool deck. The Johari Roof Terrace is opened seasonally and can be used for special events or sundowners. Additionally, the resort offers premium bed and breakfast all inclusive packages for meals and other resort amenities.
Guests at the Severin Sea Lodge have plenty to choose from when it comes to activities. After dinner they can enjoy local African bands, traditional dances, music, folklore and acrobats. There are numerous water sport opportunities available and there is a PADI certified water center on the premises. Tennis courts, fitness room, table tennis, darts, beach volleyball, swimming pools, golf and massages are all available at or near the resort.
