The outskirt of the Egyptian city of Hurghada is the home to the Sea Star Beau Rivage hotel. Located on the Red Sea, this resort offers guests their own private beach in addition to 32 different offshore inlets to explore that are loved by snorkelers and divers alike. The resort is only two kilometers from downtown Hurghada and within driving distance of the airport and the modern city center of Sakkala. Hurghada started out as a small fishing village but has grown into a bustling metropolis of over 50,000 people with shopping areas and three tourist walking areas. The walking areas take guests throughout the city of Hurghada and they are filled with a wide of variety of things to see and do. The Downtown area is where the original fishing village was located and guests will be able to see how Egyptians live and shop today. Sekalla is the center of the city and it is the first area to develop and grow, offering tourists a combination of restaurants, hotels, nightclubs, bazaars, and coffee shops. The newest walking area is the main street in front of the city’s hotels and is easily recognizable by the very Western fast food joints, cafes and shops.

Rooms

The Sea Star Beau Rivage resort offers guests five different room styles to choose from depending on their individual needs. Each room is elegantly decorated and include the following amenities equipped standard: private terrace or balcony; sea or pool view; television; air conditioning; mini bar; bathroom with phone; hair dryer; bath tub; high speed wireless internet access (there is a small charge for this); king or twin size bed; and a twin size bed upon request. The standard rooms are located on the first to fifth floor of the hotel. The superior rooms are also located on the first to fifth floor of the hotel and guests can opt for a single king or two twin size beds. There are three styles of suites which come with above amenities. The junior suites are located on the fourth floor of the hotel and include a separate living area. They have two private terraces or balconies, a king size bed and a large living room sofa. The executive suites are located on the first and second floors and are appointed the same as the junior suites. Finally, there are four royal suites that are located on the first to the fifth floors. These suites are equipped the same as the others but they also have a living area with dining room table, DVD player, and additional luxury furniture for guests to enjoy.

Dining

Guests at the Sea Star Beau Rivage have eight different choices when it comes to eating, one of which is room service from noon to midnight. The El Khaiam is located in the Main Lobby and it offers all three meals in a buffet style. The cuisine is Oriental and Egyptian, and in addition to theme nights they offer kids and vegetarian menus. La Nona is an Italian restaurant serving lunch and dinner and it is located on the terrace near the small swimming pool. Less formal dining can be found for all three meals at The Grill. Lunch, snack and drinks can be had at the poolside bar during the day while full meals can be had in the restaurant. This establishment is also located at the small swimming pool area. Samakmak features seafood for lunch and dinner and is known for their catch of the day dishes. If you are looking for a casual atmosphere or that late night cup of coffee, Star Coffee is open 24 hours a day and is next to the Main Lobby. You can also play billiards here or log onto the Internet as it is a hot spot. On The Rocks is the hotel’s pub and they offer many different cocktails and drinks as well as live entertainment. It is located on the lower entertainment terrace. Subway is the hotel’s unique and originally designed nightclub in the lower lobby and it is open until 3 in the morning. And finally, guests can enjoy the open cake buffet and hot drinks in the afternoon in the Garden, located on the lower terrace.

Activities

Guests to this corner of Egypt will enjoy the walking areas of Hurghada and the wide variety of sights to see there. Guests can shop at the bazaar and then enjoy a traditional cup of coffee at one of the many traditional cafes located in the city. Water sports such as fishing, snorkeling, diving, and sailing are all available from the hotel and the trips to the coral islands for some snorkeling or scuba diving is simply breathtaking. The beach is popular and because 50 meters from shore is a coral reef swimming shoes are recommended for all swimmers. The Aqua Center and Diving rents equipment as well as offers guests lessons on many different water sports. For those guests who prefer to stay on dry land, the Sea Star Beau Rivage hotel offers guests a fully equipped health club with sauna, massage, steam bath, Jacuzzi, and more including a separate beauty salon. There is a mini golf course on the beach next to the children’s playground, and squash players will love the squash courts. There are also two adult and one children’s pool for the guests to enjoy. The animation staff will keep all of the guests informed of their daily activities and there is a kid’s house with supervision available for the children to enjoy.
