Patatran Village is set on La Digue Island of the Seychelles where tropical beaches and breathtaking views await guests. La Digue is the fourth largest island in terms of size, though its population is rather small. La Digue is east of Praslin Island and west of Felicite Island. Most of the island’s population can be found on the west coast in the village of La Passe. La Digue is also near Mahe Island, the largest isle of the Seychelles.
From Patatran Village guests can visit Anse Source d’Argent, one of the most popular beaches on the island. They can also take in the island’s museum or Veuve Nature Reserve, which is located in the interior of the island. The reserve has a Black Paradise Flycatcher, a very rare species.

The Captain’s Retreat is a double room with a double bed fitting for two guests. The superior rooms can be single, double or triple based on the number of beds you require.
Standard rooms are single or double with a double bed. There are 8 standard rooms with private balconies and plenty of standard room amenities. Each room will have air conditioning, en-suite bath, bathtub, living area, mini bar, desk, IDD telephone, television, iron, ironing board, and coffee/ tea facilities. The honeymoon suite is the grandest room at Patatran Village with a double bed, divine treats, and a welcome to the loving couple.
The last option in the rooms is the family room. It offers triple or quadruple occupancy with two double beds. The family room has more space than the rest of the options, and is only a few meters from the beach.
Dining at Patatran Village includes two restaurants and one bar. One of the restaurants offers a view of the Indian Ocean while guests enjoy Creole and Diguoise cuisine. The other restaurant is more for privacy and romance, with soft lighting and interior spaces. The bar is closer to the pool for those hoping to relax during their swim.
Patatran Village Hotel offers more than a picturesque setting. It has plenty of activities to keep guests comfortable. Swimming is the main activity at the hotel, but it is also possible to rent scuba equipment, snorkeling gear, and other water sport gear needed to enjoy the ocean. Underneath the water is a different world of extraordinary colors, sea animals, and coral reef.
For those who are not as interested in the water for its underwater activities, there are boat charters for fishing and cruising. Deep sea fishing is a popular pastime in the Seychelles due to the abundance of tropical fish. Those who want a pleasure cruise can explore Mahe Island or Praslin Island. Near Mahe Island are three marine national parks, and one UNESCO World Heritage site.
Staying on La Digue can be just as amazing with Anse Source d’Argent. At this public beach you’ll have to look out for the massive granite rocks, which are rather smooth after years of erosion, and very impressive in size and beauty. La Digue has some swamp land with shallow boat tours to take you deep into the tropical swamp for seeing palm trees and other island plant species.
If you want a drive, Veuve Nature Reserve is worth it. It is home to 100 Black Paradise Flycatchers, which are very rare. Belle Vue is also near the reserve for those wanting a little hike.
