Malindi Beach Hotel is a beautiful all-inclusive hotel on the immaculate Silver sand beaches of Malindi, Kenya. It is approximately 5 km from the town of Malindi and easily reached by road. The entire resort has a true Arabian feel to it, emphasised by the rows of mature palm trees scattered over the property and the beautiful Arabesque architecture.
With its two sister hotels - Tropical Village and Coconut Village - Malindi Beach forms a well equipped and attractive resort. Each of the three has its own distinct look and style, and therefore adds to the great selection of restaurants, bars and other facilities at the resort.
Malindi Beach Hotel has two beautiful swimming pools and guests at the hotel are also welcome to make use of the other three pools of the resort (2 at Tropical Village and 1 at Coconut Village).
The place is enchanting and the setting idyllic. During the day there are masses of activities available to keep guests of all tastes occupied. These include visits to the nearby historical sites (Gede Ruins, Vasco Da Gama Pillar and Portuguese Chapel), Latin American dance classes, snorkelling in the adjacent marine park, safaris to the Masai Mara, a visit to a butterfly farm, a night out at the disco bar and many many more.
And if youre after some rest and relaxation, this place with its beautiful beaches and swimming pools complete with parasols, lounge chairs and towels, offer some of the best retreats from the daily commotion. The property also lends itself to quiet walks and the rooms are cool and peaceful, ideal for lounging about and doing as little as possible.
We just loved the attention to detail in the rooms - the pretty bed linen and the African sofas with their white cushions, all adding to that perfect beach retreat feeling.
The area is very popular for its great deep sea game fishing. There are six boats available to take you out on a daytrip where you could land anything from the popular sailfish (these waters boast the highest concentration of these fish in the world); Blue, Black and Striped Marlin; Tuna; Wahoo; Dorado and many species of shark. The practice of billfish tag and release is upheld and a great many species have been successfully tagged for further research. This shouldnt put you off though because if you manage to hook a trophy fish the captain will gladly let you keep it.
Malindi Beach Hotel is the ideal setting for guests seeking that perfect palm-lined beach setting with options of great activities or quiet secluded retreats. This is easily one of Kenyas best beach resorts and as an added bonus you get to make use of the entire propertys facilities. We loved this place and highly recommend it!
