The Vanivola is located on an idyllic beach on the southwest corner of beautiful St. Marie Island, also called Nosy Boraha. Hundreds of years ago, this island was haven to pirates, and there is even a cemetery history minded guests can visit that attests to this.
The hotel is located close to the city center of St. Marie, which is perfect for shopping excursions and mingling with the locals.
The entire island is open to exploration by car, bike, motorcycle, or on foot. It is a great way to see the unique flora and fauna that make up the island. Guests who come to the hotel from July to September might even be lucky enough to spot whales basking just off shore in the Indian Ocean.
Guests at the Vanivola will never lack for activities. Whether they spend the day exploring the island, swimming, snorkeling, diving, or just soaking up the sunshine while sipping a sweet tropical drink, they are sure to have a great time.
When the day winds down, guests can grab a bite to eat in the restaurant, where they can enjoy food from a varied menu while relaxing and listening to the lovely, soft sound of music. Afterwards, they can head to the TV lounge or to the bar and grab a cocktail. Guests can even take the microphone on the karaoke machine and become part of the entertainment if they are so inclined.
The Vanivola is also very child friendly, so feel free to bring the whole family for a vacation no one will ever forget.

There is a variety of rooms, including 9 bungalows, 5 double rooms, and 5 single rooms, all beautifully decorated and very close to the ocean for those late evening or early morning walks along the beach.
The rooms all include either a fan or air conditioning for maximum comfort. The bungalows have great views of the ocean, while some of the rooms have a view of the lagoon.

The restaurant offers a variety of food, including crawfish, camarons, crab, shrimp, swordfish, tuna, as well as chicken and Zabu meat. The seafood comes directly from the market and is some of the freshest around.
The piano bar offers great drinks, the opportunity to sing karaoke, and a relaxing atmosphere to watch the sunset.
