Nestled atop the western section of Beau Vallon Bay, you will discover Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove Resort. Surrounding the resort is a mixture of tropical vegetation and exotic garden to make the resort completely private from the surrounding area. Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove has been designed to make sure you are in harmony with nature during your entire stay by including a spa and tastefully decorated rooms on this little section of Mahe Island. Le Meridien has a long history, having been built in 1943 as the first hotel in Seychelles.
Le Meridien is ideally situated thirty minutes from the international airport and only ten minutes outside of Victoria. It places Beau Vallon Bay and the resort on the north side of Mahe Island with a view of Silhouette Island. The Seychelles are comprised of 115 granite and coral island to the north of Madagascar. The Seychelles have two UNESCO World Heritage Sites for guests to enjoy, as well as a long history dating to the 1700s with French and British settlers among, Indian, Asian, and Africans.
The hotel has 68 rooms of varying sizes including standard, deluxe, and suites. Many of the hotel rooms offer a balcony or terrace that face the sea, while there are some suites with private gardens. The Bougainvillea Creole Suites are on the beachfront or garden level with special amenities the standard rooms do not have. The Allamanda Suites are on the garden level, while the Orchid Creole Suites are set atop the hotel’s top level.
Room amenities include LCD televisions, mini bar, internet access, IDD telephones, satellite, en- suite bathrooms with bidets, in room safes, hair dryers, tea and coffee facilities, in room massages, air conditioning, desk, voicemail, and 24 hour room service.
There are 19 superior rooms in the main building which have an open style décor. They are all sea facing rooms with terraces, king sized beds, and sitting areas. Twenty- five of the rooms are deluxe cottage like rooms with an open bathroom plan to offer sea and pool views.
Dining includes two restaurants with sea views and open air seating. The restaurants provide international and local favorites allowing for a great taste in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. Le Cardinal is the main restaurant with themed buffets throughout the week and a large wine selection. This restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. Le Bourgeois is an a la carte style restaurant with views of Beau Vallon Bay. Here guests can find caviar, crocodile meat, lobster and Bourgeois fish on the menu. Le Bourgeois is open for lunch and dinner only.
Two bars are present at Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove where live music and ocean views are part of the package. It is possible to sip cocktails during the setting sun or get a little start to the afternoon with a drink during the day. Next to Le Cocoloba Bar is a library where one can sit and sip drinks from Le Cocoloba Bar. The Sunset Bar is open on a pontoon and gazebo set up with complimentary afternoon tea and cakes or for the pre- dinner cocktail.
Mahe Island has a biodiversity that incorporates a variety of activities for guests including snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, water sports, and engaging in the local culture. At the spa is a Fitness and Elemis Zen Spa for guests to relax and rejuvenate in.
Location: Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove is 30 minutes from Seychelles International Airport and 10 minutes from the capital city, Victoria. It is located on the north end of Mahe Island where the many country consulates are within 2 to 6 kilometers.
