The
Plaza Beach Hotel is a laid back 4 star beachfront
resort hotel situated on the north coast of Mombasa,
on the pretty beach of Bamburi. The hotel is easily
reached by road and approximately 30 minutes away
from Moi International Airport, and 20 minutes from
Mombasa town.
The property is truly tropical with masses of
coconut palms and tropical flower trees, set off
against the pretty white buildings and huge blue
swimming pool. The place is fresh and fragrant and
at night the stars are simply spectacular.
The hotels guest rooms are bright and airy and all
rooms have balconies overlooking the beautiful
surrounds, including some with sea views. All the

The beach is within a few metres from the hotel and
is really appealing with fine white sands and calm,

tennis, chess and billiards, beach volleyball,

live entertainment such as bands, shows and
musicians from the surrounding areas.
The owners and staff of the Plaza are committed to
ecotourism and are focussed on preserving and
conserving the Kenyan environment. Not only do they
belong to a variety of conservational societies, but
they also promote and develop tourism that is
entirely eco-friendly. In addition, the hotels
restaurants only use organic produce from
neighbouring farms while their gardens are
organically managed. The hotels water is also
heated by means of solar power while they work
towards environmentally-friendly means of waste
management.
The hotel also has a licensed PADI dive centre that
offers divers of all levels more than 25 different
dive sites. Most of these can be found in the
protected Indian Ocean Marine Park where the height
of attraction is to swim with a whale shark. If
youre not exactly that adventurous, you can always
take a ride on the hotels glass bottomed boat and
have a clear view of all the marine attractions
including the colourful coral, sea turtles, sting
rays, sharks, parrot fish and many more.

rooms in multi-storey buildings spread out over the
landscaped property. These rooms have recently been
renovated and are decorated in soft, warm colours and are
quite spacious.
All the rooms are equipped with air conditioners, en-suite
bathrooms (baths and showers), satellite television and
telephones, mini-bars, safes and hairdryers. There are
also shaver outlets in the bathrooms for the men.
Their balconies overlook the ocean, pools or pretty
landscaped gardens, all amidst the rows of mature palm
