Leisure Lodge and Golf Club

Low Season Closure: 14 April - 29 June 2008
Leisure Lodge and Golf Club

Golf, beach sun and sand sums up Leisure Lodge Beach and Golf Resort pretty well. After a huge makeover, this has become one of the premier resorts on the South Coast of Mombasa. Added to that, they are the only resort on the South Coast with an 18 hole championship golf course.

This is by far one of the largest resorts on the Kenyan Coast. Not only because they have some 249 rooms, but it is located on an absolutely massive piece of land. The accommodation and gold course are separate, and if you had to take the size of both the gold course and the beach resort together, it would be by far the largest resort in Kenya.
The resort is divided up in to 3 different wings, namely the Bustani Club, Bahari Wing and Palm Wing. Bustani and Bahari each have 2 stunning swimming pools (that makes 4 pools in total), as well as own restaurants and bars. The Bustani Club is the more up market section, with villas and suites, whilst the Bahari Wing and Palm Wing have superior and standard rooms.

Even though it is so large, you definitely do not feel as if you are in a large resort. The grounds are expansive and the wings are nicely spread out over the gardens so you don’t feel crowded at all. We recommend that you study the map at the entrance when arriving, as you will probably get lost for the first day or so.
Added to their golf course, they have a huge variety of other activities available for guests which includes 2 floodlit tennis courts, dive centre, full water sports centre, windsurfing school, beauty salon, massage parlour and plenty more to keep guests busy and entertained.

The rooms
Leisure Lodge has a total of 249 rooms located in the gardens and divided up into 3 wings.
Bustani Club has 93 Bustani rooms, 16 Oasis Villas and 4 suites. The Bustani Rooms are 50 sq metres, all with balcony, large en suite bathroom with bath and shower, dressing area, hair dryer and air conditioning. They also include satellite TV, telephones, mini bars and a safe. The Oasis Villas are larger at 60sq metres. They are made up of blocks with 4 – 6 rooms per block and have a private swimming pool per block. These rooms are the same as the Bustani Rooms, although a little larger. The suites are sort of in between the size of the Bustani Rooms and Oasis Villas. They have all the same facilities except a sitting room.
The Bahari Wing consists of 104 superior rooms. These rooms have a choice of kingsize bed or two single beds. All rooms have a patio, en suite bathroom with shower only, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar and safe.

The Palm Wing is the smallest and shares its facilities with the Bahari Wing. This consists of 36 standard rooms with twin beds and a balcony, en suite bathroom with a shower. The rooms are air conditioned and safe services are available.
