Indian Ocean Lodge is nestled on the west coast of Praslin, minutes from the island airport and ferry system. Praslin is broken into two districts: Grand Anse and Baie Sainte Anne. The Indian Ocean Lodge is in the Grand Anse district, where much of the island population lives.
Praslin is the second largest island in the Seychelles archipelago, Mahe Island being the largest. For visitors to arrive at Indian Ocean Lodge they will need to fly to Mahe Island’s Seychelles International Airport or travel by boat. From Mahe the ferry takes forty-five minutes. A fly is fifteen minutes.
Indian Ocean Lodge is a complex hotel with lush gardens, sea views, and Grand Anse as the longest beach on the island. Guests at the hotel will find their every need is taken care of whether it is a car rental through Indian Ocean Lodge or personalized service.
Activities on the island will keep guests busy with snorkeling, diving, swimming, fishing, or hiking. The Vallee de Mai is the largest forest with coco de mer palm trees, Takamaka trees, and Black Parrots.
Indian Ocean Lodge has 32 rooms with 8 separate units. These separate units have four rooms, two on the ground floor and two on the first floor. Each room is 45 square meters, and typical of the tropical island paradise with regards to décor. The rooms have king size beds with four poster frames, coffee/ tea makers, mini bar, IDD telephone, ceiling fan, air conditioning, television, and hair dryers.
The accommodations at Indian Ocean Lodge have patios or terraces to look out over Grand Anse Bay and the surrounding islands. Each room is connected to make sure guests with large parties can be comfortable. The rooms are meant for 2 adults and a child or 3 adults.
The dining room can be found at the main building, which is between the houses. The restaurant ensures a varied menu with international cuisine to satisfy both children and adults palates. The atmosphere is informal, as well as friendly. To add to the experience guests can order from the bar, which offers seaside views. Drinks can be served at the pool or lounge.

Sunbathing, beach combing, water sports, snorkeling, and scuba diving are part of the activities available at or near Indian Ocean Lodge. Scuba diving and snorkeling are the most sought activities due to the coral reefs and plethora of marine life in the Indian Ocean.
Nature Island reserves are but a short boat ride away. Guests can find boat charters to visit Cousin, Curieuse and Aride islands, which are sanctuaries for numerous flora and fauna. You may wish to rent a boat for the day to scuba dive near these islands and picnic on their beaches.
At the hotel is a swimming pool just steps from guests’ rooms. The pool has a lounge area for sunbathing for those who do not care for the beach. There is also a paddle pool for toddlers and children, providing a safe environment for play.
