About Diani Reef

Diani Reef Beach Resort and Spa is set in a location amongst magnificent white palm fringed beaches. The resort has recently been completely refurbished and renovated and the owners have chosen a modern boutique hotel look, combined with beach and African decor. Living areas are airy and spacious and have a very Feng Shui calming feel about them. From the magnificent entrance you will enjoy the Khoi pond which has been built below the reception and is visible through glass floors. They have spared no expense in the rebuilding of this resort.

The resort boasts activities and features not yet found anywhere in East Africa, for example the Nirvana Health and Wellness Spa which has been designed in conjunction with the Ginkgo Spa Group. This spa offers state of the art facilities which include reflexology, aromatherapy, mud wraps and detox treatments, to name but a few. The resort also boasts the best water sport center in Diani and includes 7 jet skis, skiing, deep sea fishing, PADI dive center ad many other activities. They also have 3 restaurants and 5 bars located around the premises. Probably one of the greatest draw cards for some is the 18 hole golf course located next to the resort. If you are a gaming type, then they have a casino which includes slots and tables. There is just so much to do, so much to see and we rate this is by far the finest beach resort in Kenya.

Dining

The hotel has 3 main restaurants:
Coral Rock Café: Where lunches and dinners are served on the buffet. Food is individually prepared for guests by one of the 10 or so chefs behind the preparation counter. Food ranges from nyama choma (local roast meat) to Indian and Western. There is always a huge variety, and we have always left feeling we have eaten too much.
Saki Oriental Restaurant: Definitely the most interesting of all the restaurants. They specialise in Indian, Chinese and Japanese cuisine and have a genuine Teppenyaki Table. Cuisine is phenomenal and the décor is classic Asian. The restaurant also has a Zen Garden. Guests are well advised to book in advance as his restaurant is not only for hotel guests.
The Fins Seafood Grill: This restaurant is located down on the beachfront and is the most popular. They serve seafood, meat and light Mediterranean dishes.

They also have the Zebra Square coffee shop where you can sit and soak up the views and enjoy some home baked cakes and tea or coffee. Excellent for the late afternoon.

Guests eat breakfast and dinner and the Coral Rock Café. Lunch can be had at Fins, or you could go up to the local village or any of the surrounding restaurants if you like. Should you decide to have dinner at Fins or Saki, then the hotel will grant you a credit towards your bill.

Rooms at Diani

The resort has 144 rooms comprising of twins, doubles, deluxe and family rooms with inter leading doors. They also have a selection of suites and presidential suites. All rooms are located in 2 blocks of the hotel comprising of 4 floors each. The rooms all boast the most modern of conveniences including air-conditioning, satellite television, mini bars, safes and coffee making facilities. All rooms overlook the swimming pool area and have a balcony where you can sit and enjoy a cocktail if you like.

The room decor is a modern beach theme and have some interesting facilities like a volume control and speakers in the bathroom for the television and the radio. They also have internet facilities in al rooms, which is very handy. Deluxe rooms include a large lounge area which can also be converted to a second room so children can stay with the parents. The deluxe rooms are open plan and they have put a television in the lounge and bedroom areas for your convenience. A lot of thoughtful planning has resulted in the rooms being really very spacious and comfortable.
