Mahe Island is the most important island in the Seychelles archipelago. It is also the largest at 27 kilometers. Its centerpiece is the Morne Seychellois Mountain that forms the backbone of the hills and the island itself. Morne Seychellois is 905 meters in height, rising close to the city of Victoria. Guests at Bliss Hotel can take in the mountain views being in the northern section of Mahe Island, as well as hike to the summit.
The Seychelles have a natural beauty and charm that draws in thousands of tourists a year to visit the lush vegetation and tropical beaches. There are more than 75 beaches in Mahe Island, some of which are private to local hotels, while others are public. Bliss Hotel is a few steps from Beau Vallon Beach, a public stretch of sand. Soft white sand makes it easy to relax and sunbathe, with swaying palm trees for convenient shade when needed. The sea will cool any guest off and offer them inviting underwater scenery with coral reefs and marine life.
Bliss Hotel is five kilometers from Victoria’s city center, away from everyday life. It is also fifteen kilometers from Seychelles International Airport. Public transportation can be used to arrive at Bliss Hotel, but a rental car will provide you with the freedom to explore all of Mahe Island. The Botanical Gardens can be reached by driving towards Victoria. Mahe Island has a Clock Tower, which is quite famous as a replica of “Big Ben.” All of this and more can be seen with a stay at nearby Bliss Hotel.
Bliss Hotel offers 3 types of guestrooms, which are all fully furnished for ultimate comfort. The guestrooms are decorated differently to make them unique. The hotel rooms have complimentary wireless internet, air conditioning, cribs on request, mini bar, and showers in the bathrooms. In addition to these amenities are iron, ironing boards, and the rooms are all non smoking.
Whether you want to explore the land or sea, Bliss Hotel puts guests in a perfect spot to do both. From the hotel it takes a short walk to the beach to experience scuba diving and snorkeling adventures. Water sports such as windsurfing, surfing, water skiing, and other sports can be found on the beach as well. Visitors can find equipment at the hotel or from one of the beach vendors. Beau Vallon Beach is nestled in Beau Vallon Bay with views of Silhouette and North Islands.
The nearest city to Bliss Hotel is Victoria, the capital. It is a fifteen minute drive by car where guests can explore the shops, restaurants, and heritage sites of Mahe Island. Driving west is Inter Island Quay, which is also a fifteen minute drive. The jetty allows for fishing, and one can also find a boat charter.
Boat charters are common on Mahe Island due to the 115 islands that make up the Seychelles. Visitors want to explore many of the islands around them, as well as the coast of Mahe. One of the most desired trips is to Ste. Anne Marine National Park. The national park consists of more than 5 acres, with a portion of that as land. There are six islands within the marine park guests can visit. Some of the charters will moor the boat offshore of the islands for scuba diving or snorkeling, and set up a picnic on one of the islands for a lunch. Deep sea fishing boats are also taken out into the Indian Ocean.
Location: Bliss Hotel is set on Mahe Island close to Beau Vallon Beach in the north side of the island. It is approximately 5 miles from Victoria (capital city), and 15 kilometers from Seychelles International Airport.
