Hi Melinda

Yesterday was my first day back at work and was pretty snowed under but had to let you know what a WONDERFUL holiday we had. NOTHING went wrong at any point and I just can't wait to go back.

Everything went smoothly (except the twin beds but the bed was so big it didn't matter in the end) The room was fabulous and the people and the food and the sea and the pool. Really one of the friendliest countries I have been to. It does of course help that everyone speks English.

Just a tip for other travellers - tell them to exchange their dollers at the airport or a bank as they were paying 70ksh to the doller while at the hotel it was 59!!
Also the flight that we were originally booked on to leave at 2am for the airport - it is not considereed safe to travel at that time by the locals as it is a distance on a rural road and that is when the gansters come out.

The Southern Cross Safari people were wonderful and we were even sent a bouquet of flowers by the driver that picked us up - such was the rapport!! They were punctual, friendly and informative at all times.

All in all a most wonderful time that I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going. If you have the money it is also a wonderful opportunity to go on a two night safari to the parks.

Thank you for arranging everything so well and if there are any specifics you would like to know please feel free to e-mail me.

Regards

Jenny
